How to tell her? My bouncy princess adores this one nenek. Frankly I never met her...Remember the nostalgic cake? The one my auntie a.k.a Cik Ani asked me to bake, that cake was meant for Nenek Baring. Princess called her 'Nenek Baring' coz she was bedridden..."nenek tu baring je....kawan dia nenek hidup...". Nenek Hidup...Cik Ani's MIL still can walk around..:). Last nite they announced Nenek Baring death before the terawih prayer.
The story...mostly setiap petang Cik Ani or her daughter will come to fetch princess. .. to visit the late Nenek Baring. Princess enjoy suap Nenek Baring makan...I tak kenal pun Nenek Baring ni coz dia from Cik Ani's new husband punye side..(her late husband was King's youngest uncle) So last nite Nini asked me to tell princess...Nenek Baring dah tak ada...How to tell a 3 years old about DEATH? I rasa petang ni mesti dia havoc cari Nenek Baring....Al fatihah to Nenek Baring....

Hello Mrs Wongjowo, regret to read of 'Nenek Baring's passing away. Sad. And yes, you have a problem there to tell your kid.
She's too young to understand. But I guess somehow inside her young mind she will know her nenek Baring has gone to be with the Angels.
By the way, your nama sounds, looks Indoniesian?
Used to know an Indon woman with 'Jowo' joining her name too long ago.

TQ for the condolence message there. Yesterday she asked me to drive her to nenek baring's house..she said " I sayang dia..I suka suap dia..." tapi kids will forget easily kan!
I am purely Malaysian...truly Asian he..he.My husband is a Javanese. His grandfather was from Surabaya, Indonesia.My in laws family still speaking Java at home. We call the Javanese as "Wong Jowo" meaning "Orang Jawa"..So I am the wife of Orang Jawa..:)
